A Good MMA/philosophy movie called RedBelt
61What i think of the movie
As for Redbelt if your a fan of mma and just martial arts with a lot of honor and philosophy and old school and new school cameo's by a lot of martial artist then this is a movie for you! It's also a great film however i do admit most people won't really relate to this movie, but i relate to all the characters, especially Mike in it. Great acting on everyones part and great message in the film, i may not agree with it all the way but i understand it and feel it. Please support these movies in the threaters and watch a morning cheap show, or rent or buy on dvd.
Most of all the things said and done in the film are possible to a point and can be used in real life the mma moves and the philosophy, however one must find what they can possibly relate to there own lives. For example for me it is the fact that when you train it brings a sense of humbleness and thought and makes you realize 2 potentials of your weaknesses and your strengths in both mind and body. I feel that the movie shows the struggle of old school honor clashing with modern world which i can see both sides to it. We all need to respect and honor the old ways yet we need to adapt and move on to the new ways and we all need to eat and take care of ourselves and loved ones.
Redbelt is a movie about a mma instuctor who trys to live by his code and ways and is forced into situations both within control and out of control forces in his personal life and business that bring him into a mma touranment.
That's my logline of the movie. It is about an 1hr and 42mins long give or take a few minutes.I suggest anybody who's into martial arts and movies go see this action/drama. Now it's not a flashy fast moving movie, but it still is a fairly fast drama film which in my opinion deserves to be seen more by many others. It might make you think about how hard it is to earn a living in that business without marketing yourself to modern times and respect what people in martial arts have to go through at times. I myself am ashamed i take so long to see it.
